Air Cadets is for both boys and girls aged 13 to 18. It is a voluntary, disciplined, uniformed youth leadership training organisation. Read more about us here.
Understand aircraft technology, the theory of flight and have the chance to go flying. At 4 Squadron, we are heavily focused on flying and aviation, with Cadets getting the opportunity to fly gliders, aeroplanes and helicopters (plus the use of our state of the art flight simulators)
Become skilled and comfortable in a bush environment. We run several outdoor camps a year, each providing new and exciting activities.
Gain and practice correct military procedures when using radios.
Acquire status from serving others.
Achieve skills in a wide range of recreational activities. These have included such activities as tramping, abseiling, gliding, and rock climbing.
